Kady Cross' Books.

My favorite book is Kady Cross’ The Girl in The Steel Corset. It was based in the late eighteen hundreds, in a more science fiction world, in London. In this world, the 1800’s were extremely high tech, and there were genetic differences. I liked this book because it was well written, and the dialogue and thoughts were put into a slight accent. Also, I liked it because Kady Cross writes her novels in an older teen fiction manor.  My favorite types of books are science fiction, fantasy, and realistic fiction because while they may be partly truthful, there are great twists to the story. At the moment, I’m reading Generation Dead by Daniel Waters. It’s about a school, where there are ‘differently biotic’ people, or zombies. These people had died, and came back to life. Although this may happen, only teenagers come back to life. When Magi and Phoebe’s friend Colette dies, Magi is a little too stubborn to speak to her, afraid because she’s a zombie.  Now, Tommy Williams, a zombie who Phoebe may like, is about to get her and her closest friends killed. The football team (Other than Phoebe’s best friend Adam) wants to kill anyone on the zombie’s side, along with all the zombies. She uses lots of details to describe how everything looks and feels, along with the sounds of people being slammed into. In my book, the football players, and the coach, are mad because principal Kim is forcing them to allow Tommy to play. Tommy, being a rookie, gets beat at practices. All first year football players the coach has up against returning in head to head. Coach, as always, is playing dirty, and not obeying the rules of football. He has Pete hit Tommy in the back, with his helmet. This is illegal of course, because it can permanently paralyze somebody from the hit down, if it doesn’t kill them. But, remarkably, Tommy always gets back up, unlike all the others who can’t get back up each time. Hopefully, Adam can stop the others from hurting Tommy too bad, along with the group of people they’ve gotten to try to help the zombies. Most people only joined the group to get out of class, but a few, like Adam, Tommy, and Phoebe, have joined to help stop people from hurting the differently biotic persons.
